SADDLE STITCHED BOOKS
Maximum 48 pages
The flexibility and cost effectiveness of saddle stitch binding makes these booklets extremely popular with our trade customers. Saddle stitched means binding pages together using staples at the spine. It’s a straightforward technique, ideal for any document up to 48 pages and offers a sharp, professional finish at a low price. If your document has 24 or more pages, we'll square back the spine to help stop it springing open.
Saddle stitched books are the perfect solution for printing smaller booklets such as magazines, brochures and reports. Other uses include programmes, marketing booklets and even comic books. All saddle stitched booklets must be created in multiples of 4 pages, thus a single page, folded in half, becomes four printed pages. Fast turnaround is always available on all our HP Indigo printed saddle stitched booklets.
Our trade customers can choose from a wide range of luxury papers in a variety of weights, sizes and finishes. Most use heavier stock for the cover and many opt for matt or gloss lamination for extra strength. 150gsm or lighter works best for inner pages to stop your booklet springing open.
PERFECT BOUND BOOKS

Some documents are too thick to be saddle stitched or stapled. If that’s the case, perfect bound could be your ideal solution. With this method, the pages and cover are glued together at the spine with a strong yet flexible adhesive to provide a smooth and stylish finish. Cost effective even at low quantities, PUR perfect binding is always a popular option among our trade customers.
We only use PUR glue for perfect binding. PUR glue is extremely tolerant to temperature ranges as well as being flexible, non-brittle and very strong. Your book will always keep it's pages in place compared to old style hot melt glue.

Some documents are too thick to be saddle stitched or stapled. Wire binding is a popular commercial book binding method. Documents that are bound with wire binding will open completely flat on a desk and allow for 360 degree rotation of bound pages. Wire binding provides a stylish, premium look. It’s perfect for sales and marketing presentations, training booklets, financial reports and more. Wire binding provides a secure finish. Wire binding includes a clear plastic front cover and a black back cover.
